We believe that students should have multiple opportunities to learn content. This is why we offer re-takes on quizzes and exams.
To re-take a test, the student must first show the teacher that he/she has studied and learned the material. The student should be re-taking a test to show that he/she has mastered the material, and not simply to see if he/she can get a better score just by re-taking the test.
Here are the instructions to re-take a test.
1. If you did not complete the test review before the test, the student must first complete the review assignment before the re-take. Use complete sentences to answer the questions, and come in during FLEX or after school to check answers to see if they are correct. Test reviews can be found below:
2. The student must make corrections on his/her test AND must write a few sentences about WHY the correct answer is correct. If you are not sure why a correct answer is correct, ask a friend that can explain it, or your teacher. Make sure you REALLY know WHY the correct answer is correct so that you can answer the question properly on the re-take. The re-take will not be the same test as the one you took.
3. Once your test review is completed, and your test corrections are done, you may re-take the test.
